Thank you

As autumn approaches and another spring / summer season draws to a close I just wanted to send you all a huge thank you for being part of The Garden Gate Flower Company’s floral journey. In choosing me for your wedding you supported so many local businesses that help keep this flower business going. From my potter, dear John Webb to an independent nursery, like Bodmin Herb & Plant. I like to keep as much of what I do local as you know.

2026 season has been one of the toughest wedding seasons I’ve experienced in over 15yrs of growing flowers. The wet start to the growing year and then the unprecedented heat of a long summer at times felt overwhelming but it had been your bookings that kept me going…growing and ensuring I was delivering the best flowers possible from my garden. I always feel farmers / flower growers are very resilient people and if there ever was a time to have seasonal, locally grown, not flown wedding flowers this is the time to do it - so bravo to you all for making the difference this year.

My season isn’t quite over though with a busy October approaching, a wedding in December and the work I bring to The Story of Emily I’m not sure I’ll be resting much until January - although I do have a lovely week away planned with the family later this month which we are all very excited about.

As you all know this is certainly not a ‘hobby’ job and managing all aspects of the business is always a huge challenge. My mind now is turning to creating some beautiful content this winter for others to be inspired by. I know a few of you have shared your photography galleries with me already and I am so grateful to you. If you haven’t already, I would absolutely LOVE to see them. I also get nagged a lot by mum (I’m sure you will have met her on the wedding day) that she hasn’t seen any photos yet! I have created the form below for you to submit yours - thank you.
